I got this about 6 months ago. It's stylish, sleek, and different. It's well made, or I should say it is made out of excellent materials, because you have to put it together! Assembly isn't that bad, but make sure you have room and a helper because some of the pieces are large and quite substantial. Once assembled, its a very high quality piece. Certainly NOT some cheap particle board knock off. A few thing to be aware of... it's a bit harder getting out of such a low bed - not really a problem for me but didn't realize it until I got it. Part of this is due to the platform which extends around the bed. It's sturdy enough to stand on without issue or you can step across it. Takes a bit getting used to. This is a unique piece. It may not work for everyone. BUT if you are looking for something like this then this is certainly a good one! Be aware it ships by freight, and the pallet is about 7 feet long by 3 feet wide and weighs around 400 pounds.
